How much Public Liability insurance and Professional Indemnity insurance do current testers need to hold to apply for membership in ATTMA ANZ? Currently we don’t have a minimum cover for professional indemnity or public liability, but we do need to verify that you have both. The specifics of your coverage are your responsibility. To minimise risk to the industry we need to verify that all testers possess both PL and PI insurance.
ATTMA has worked with a few insurers in Australia and New Zealand to help them understand the risks inherent in airtightness testing, and to not over-insure for things they don't understand. Two insurance companies have agreed to serve ATTMA ANZ members with this understanding.
